THE BEST OF SWEDISH CRYSTAL
COLLECTION TO BE SOLD OR EXHIBITED
During the 1980s, I became obsessed with the idea of creating a remarkable Orrefors collection. I attempted to compete with the main player, but although I didn't succeed—she was a billionaire and I, at least relatively speaking, was a pauper—I managed to assemble a good collection. Numerous outstanding collections have been sold in the past few decades, leaving my Orrefors collection as one of the best remaining in the private domain, at least regarding the top pieces alone. My original intention was to donate my collection to Moderna Museet, but somewhere along the line, I chose to become a "no-money-man," and today I couldn't afford to give it away. However, I would be pleased to exhibit it and discuss (in English, Swedish, Spanish, or French) the glory of Swedish art glass from 1925 to 1950, when we were at our best. Please note that for exhibition purposes, my collection (19/20 pieces) is rather sparse unless supplemented with Flygsfors Coquille (which I can provide, and that could be offered for sale). VIDEO
